About Rakuten
Rakuten is an online marketplace that started in 1997 as buy.com that allows you to sell everything from books to jewelry.
How Does It work?
To sell on Rakuten you must create an account which registers you to sell on the marketplace. Only approved US businesses with a tax ID can sell on the Rakuten Marketplace. If you are a sole proprietor you need to provide a social security number.

Fees
There are no listing fees on Rakuten but there is a commission of $0.99 per item and set percentage of the selling price, which changes depending on the product category. This commission percentage will not exceed 15%.
